My name is Ninna, I am a woman, 50 years old, single, and have a daughter 26 yrs old. I live in Sweden. I have 2 dogs, one cat and one bird.I have discovered Art again, I am so happy :) I have created drawings on and off in my life, mostly with graphite pencils and aquarelle colors. I have only a minor education in aquarelle painting at the Swedish Art School, and I have also been teaching aquarelle painting earlier at ABF School, courses for adults and children. When I was much younger I finished a Swedish course called "Lär Dig Teckna" with the Swedish artist Åke Skiöld http://seriewikin.serieframjandet.se/index.php/%C3%85ke_Ski%C3%B6ld. When I was in my thirties some of my paintings were displayed at an exhibition at Länsarbetsnämnden in Stockholm. That is what I have done in brief.I discovered Zentangle by an event, and I fell for it. I love the art form! And I also love doodling, mandalas, zendalas, zia's and a lot more. I work as an accountants assistant with lot of figures all day, and Zentangle is quite similar to mathematics. You have to think a lot about how you should do the zentangle; which patterns, pens, paper you should use, you have to count lines and divide strings etc.You can learn more about zentangle at www.zentangle.com and http://tanglepatterns.com.

Monotangle week #4 - Strircles

Here comes week no 4 - a little too late, but there is no time limits for the challenges. I have had some problems with Mr Linky, so I have put Mr Linky down below in my blog, and there you can post all of the week challenges. If I dont do this, I have to close Mr Linky after a week, and you are not able to post anything at that week, and that is not good. I dont like stress... and tangling is a way to release the stress. So feel free to choose any of the week challenges and take as much time as you want to do them, and then post them with a commentary which week you are participating in and how you liked the weeks theme. Thank you!

For No 4 I choose the pattern Strircles and of course it is a monotangle. Intructions for the zentangle pattern, you can find here: http://tanglepatterns.com/2010/05/how-to-draw-strircles.html

I created my own string, which you can see here:
It looks just like space with earth in the middle.
And here is the final result with a little bit of shading. A lot of orbiting planets around the earth.

Please share your contribution at the bottom of the blog. You can choose any week challenge and post it in Mr Linky, pls leave a comment about this weeks challenge. Thanks!
Next week, No 5, I am planning to do a duotangle challenge. Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for participating!

Monotangle #1 - Nightsbridge

Here is my challenge for week 1. A monotangle!
I have decided that I would try and do a mono- or duotangle every week this year.
Feel free to join me if you like.
In this first challenge I have created a zentangle only with one pattern: Nightsbridge, which I love.
I have used string # 001 at http://tanglepatterns.com and the pattern you can also find there.

And here is my attempt.

I usually draw most ZIA's and Celtic Freestyle Doodles, so I think this is a good excersize for me to draw real zentangles in the format 89mmx89mm.
Below you can share your drawings with us at Mister Linky.
Have fun!
Down below you can post all of the challenges, that Mr Linky will always be open, so you can share your drawings with us at any time :)
