My name is Ninna, I am a woman, 50 years old, single, and have a daughter 26 yrs old. I live in Sweden. I have 2 dogs, one cat and one bird.I have discovered Art again, I am so happy :) I have created drawings on and off in my life, mostly with graphite pencils and aquarelle colors. I have only a minor education in aquarelle painting at the Swedish Art School, and I have also been teaching aquarelle painting earlier at ABF School, courses for adults and children. When I was much younger I finished a Swedish course called "Lär Dig Teckna" with the Swedish artist Åke Skiöld http://seriewikin.serieframjandet.se/index.php/%C3%85ke_Ski%C3%B6ld. When I was in my thirties some of my paintings were displayed at an exhibition at Länsarbetsnämnden in Stockholm. That is what I have done in brief.I discovered Zentangle by an event, and I fell for it. I love the art form! And I also love doodling, mandalas, zendalas, zia's and a lot more. I work as an accountants assistant with lot of figures all day, and Zentangle is quite similar to mathematics. You have to think a lot about how you should do the zentangle; which patterns, pens, paper you should use, you have to count lines and divide strings etc.You can learn more about zentangle at www.zentangle.com and http://tanglepatterns.com.

Duotangle Challenge week 9

EYLET&RIBBON AND HYPNOTIC.

Hello all of my creative friends!
I am well now, and back for new challenges.

Challenge of the week is a Duotangle with patterns Eylet&Ribbon+Hypnotic.
As usual you can find the patterns and how to draw them at http://tanglepatterns.com

This time I said to myself that I should draw a pattern that I haven't done before and that is not so common.
So I googled up some patterns, and Eylet&Ribbon, isn't drawn so many times.
It's sad, for it's a very lovely pattern.
Hypnotic, need I say more.... is a very very very popular pattern. And one of my first patterns I tried out when I started zentangling last year.

THE STRING for this challenge, you can find in your own mind..... I just drew some lines and went from there. (Pls excuse for miss-spellings, using wrong words etc etc... I hope you understand me anyway...thks)

Well, and here is my finished piece. Enjoy and let your creative flow!

I say as Jason and Grant says in the end of their program Ghost Hunters:
ON TO THE NEXT ONE :-)

Pls post your contribution at Mr Linky, right down at the bottom of the blog.
And leave a comment if you like. Hope to see you soon!

Monotangle week #8 - Bales

Hello all zentangle challengers out there!!

I promised I would get the challenge out yesterday, but unfortunately I have been sick, I have a cold, so hope you haven't been waiting too long for No 8.

This week I chose a quite easy pattern, called Bales.
How to draw Bales, you can find here : http://tanglepatterns.com/

And also I have used String 020, which you also can find at http://tanglepatterns.com/
You don't need to use that string, you can chose which ever you like.

In this monotangle, I thought I would go OUTSIDE-THE-BOX, which means that you draw a little bit outside the area "box" with the pattern. In my drawing you can see that in the pattern in the centre. Hope you understand what I mean.

Here is my finished result.

Please post your drawing at Mr Linkys down at the bottom.
And make a comment if you like.
Thank you!
